Unknown lead platform:
Savage
Released for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, & ZX Spectrum in 1988
Released for Amiga, Atari ST, & PC in 1989
CPC and ZX Spectrum are the only versions where designers Dave Perry and Nick Bruty are credited with programming. C64 version looks rather ugly in comparison.
Overlord
Released for Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, & PC in 1990
Designer David Perry is credited with programming Amiga & Atari ST. Amiga appears to use 32 colors in gameplay, and more in certain screens.
Back to the Future Part III

Alien³
First released for Sega Genesis in October 1992
Released for Amiga & Sega Master System in 1992
Bram Stoker's Dracula

PC lead, maybe? N64/PC/PS1 all have different credits for coders, but Balor Knight, credited in all three versions as lead programmer, is the only one credited specifically to the PC version.

Acording to this article https://www.retrogamer.net/retro_games80/the-making-of-trantor-the-last-stormtrooper/ , Nick Bruty started making trantor in spectrum, David Perry did the amstrad version and they both finished at the same time.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the Amstrad version is a conversion but one based on incomplete Spectrum code. I think for my purposes the Spectrum version should be considered Bruty's original design.
DeleteI really just wanna play the games with fishhooks. Just the masterpieces. Life is too short to play anything else
